GRAD 5891: Special Topics in Grantsmanship
This 1 credit-hour course is offered fall and spring semesters and is intended to enhance skills associated with effective grant proposal preparation, writing, and submission.
The course emphasizes identifying strategies for developing grant proposals that support both hypothesis-driven and need-based empirical research activities, with a focus on opportunities from government and industry sectors.
Enrollment is open to doctoral candidates conducting research in the biological, life, natural, physical, social and behavioral sciences, mathematics, humanities, engineering, and education. New and early career faculty are welcome to audit the course.
Class attendance is expected, and a white paper related to individual research interests is required.
